Rhea-Jane Dignadice currently serves as the Student Director and “Baritax” section leader of the UC Davis Marching Band. At UC Davis, she is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior with aspirations of a career in healthcare. She was drum major of the Phillip Burton Academic High School Marching Band for two years and section leader for three. Rhea was an active competitor in the Northern California Band Association, Peacocks American Drum Major Competitions, and National Drum Major Competition circuits where she held state, regional, and national titles. Along with being an accomplished conductor, she has also participated in Winter Guard and held principal chair in multiple honor bands. Rhea became a DMLA instructor to inspire student leaders to open their hearts and find their own unique leadership style. She wants to help drum majors of all skills levels to develop their conducting and become confident in themselves as leaders. Rhea believes that anyone can be an amazing conductor as long as they are passionate and enthusiastic about their craft.
