Justin is pursuing a degree in Music Education at Sacramento State University. He is studying clarinet under Professor Sandra McPherson. His leadership experience consists of serving as a drum major for the Sacramento Mandarins for the 2021 and 2022 DCI seasons. He teaches at Antelope High School as a marching band instructor specializing in woodwinds and drum majors. His teaching centers around the fundamentals and students themselves. A strong fundamental foundation is important in the learning process. Prioritizing the student’s needs and abilities helps them learn more about themselves. His leadership philosophy focuses around the idea of servant leadership. Great servant leadership prioritizes the members and their effects in the community. Justin’s teaching purpose is to help students develop life long skills beyond the field. He believes all students deserve to have an inclusive and quality education.
