Joey Massey recently concluded his second season as Drum Major for the Seattle Cascades. Joey has previously served two seasons as a Drum Major with the East Carolina University Marching Pirates. Currently studying music education at ECU with a focus in trumpet, Joey simultaneously studies concert conducting with professors Dr. Scott Carter and Dr. Bill Staub. He is originally from Cary, North Carolina where he attended Green Hope High School. Joey is excited to be a part of the DMLA team and looks forward to helping prepare others to become incredible Drum Majors, Conductors, and Leaders alike!
