James ‘Isaac’ Gray is a talented musician and conductor residing in Oldsmar, FL. He is currently a Drum Major for the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps. He attended the Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservator for the Arts marching with the Outdoor Performance Ensemble for 5 years, Wind Symphony for 1 year, and Wind Ensemble for 3 years the culmination of his Junior and Senior year as Principal Flute & Piccolo.  He was the Student Conductor and Field Commander as well as Flute Section Leader for 2 years in the program.  Isaac is currently the Handbell Director at Bethel Lutheran Church in Clearwater, FL.  Outside of music, he has a passion for Isshinryu Karate and attends Pro Karate Center, coaching for the PKC Tournament Team.  He is currently attending college working on his degree in Music Education and contracted to work with the Tarpon Springs Outdoor Performance Ensemble as a Woodwind & Visual Technician.  Isaac also assists in providing direction and mentorship to the Drum Majors and Leadership Council. Isaac teaches a service based leadership philosophy and uses ideas from the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. He believes everyone has their own style and way of doing things and that is what makes pageantry arts so special. Isaac has an ideology of innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is accepted and possible. He has an affinity for music, music theory, and performance and is thrilled to be able to provide his knowledge and guidance to future leaders and conductors.
