Emma is currently finishing up her fourth year as a Music Education Major at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is excited to be student teaching this semester. Specializing on French horn, Emma’s musical passions extend to singing and dancing through musical theater and other opportunities. In high school, as drum major, Emma led her band to a semi-finals appearance at Grand Nationals, and continues to share her experience on the podium as a brass, leadership and visual technician for a number of high school band programs in the Central and Southern California region. Emma has spent two summers marching with Mandarins on mellophone (’17, ’18) and with the Blue Devils in 2019. She served as a member of the movement ensemble for RCC in 2019 and would have marched her age-out year with Blue Devils in 2020, but is looking forward to 2021 for another season of excellence. Emma currently is serving her third year as a Drum Major for the UCLA Bruin Marching Band, and is thrilled to be sharing her passion for music advocacy and education to students across the world with DMLA.
