Beau is one of the Associate Director of Bands at John Paul Stevens High School, located in San Antonio, Texas. Beau studied and marched with the LSU “Golden Band from Tigerland”, serving as Piccolo Section Leader and Drum Major during his time. Additionally, Beau serves on Drum Major Instructional Staff for Smith Walbridge Clinics.

Beau is looking forward to inspiring young leaders to create positive cultures in their band programs across the country. Beau’s main inspiration to teach is to help form great leaders and people for the future, through the avenue of music. Specifically in marching band, Beau believes that the lessons learned and experiences shared can directly translate to how we interact with others in our community. Even though our communities might not have hash marks on the road and not everyone marches 8-to-5 going down the street, the principles of teamwork, camaraderie, service, and the drive to inspire others through hard work and determination that we learn through marching band can make an immediate difference in our world, and Beau strives to teach and inspire others the importance of these values in our daily lives.

He is excited to share his perspective from being a student leader to now, as a young Band Director, with DMLA. He cannot wait to get started to teach and learn alongside with all of you!
