Austin Myers

Austin Myers currently attends the University of South Carolina where he is a master of teaching candidate in secondary education. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in History from UofSC with a Minor in Music. Prior to college, Austin served as Junior Drum Major and later Senior Drum Major of the Viking Marching Band at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina for two seasons. At UofSC, Austin has served the band department in several capacities including section leader and student director of the Carolina Band’s more intimate performance group, Mini Sound of the Southeast. Outside of the band department, Austin served as a brother Kappa Kappa Psi in several capacities including chapter president.

Additionally, since graduation in 2016, he has served as Drum Major/Visual Marching Technician at SVHS . Austin possesses a passion for teaching and learning from others. Austin is excited to share his knowledge, passion, and experiences with drum majors and student leaders around the nation.
