Joshua Hecht is a Drum Major & Leadership Consultant and Field Timing Specialist based out of Tallahassee, Florida. He is the Director of the Drum Major Leadership Academy (DMLA), an educational organization that has trained more than 4,000 drum majors and student leaders from around the world. On the field, Josh served as drum major with Music City Drum & Bugle Corps (DCI World-Class, Fan Favorite), drum major with the Southern Knights Drum & Bugle Corps (DCA Open-Class, Finalist), and coordinates educational initiatives for drum majors in Drum Corps International alongside DCI Hall of Fame member, Gene Monterastelli. Josh works with numerous band programs throughout the United States and looks forward to supporting students and staff at the Drum Major Leadership Academy!
